Is it ok to put on a "pad" after so the "fluid" doesn't get on the bed?

we have been trying for 3mths now. i have done the pillow under my hips for 30mins everytime and nothing. tried a OPK(answer) nothing so going to try a different brand(first response). please we want one more before i end up having a hysterectomy due to endometriosis(which we did have the ok from my dr. to have another) i took a test to see if i could still have another also by first response (the fertility one) and it says i still can. we already know he is fine. what's happening. should i not do the pad thing? i am 33 and he is 35 now.
