Do i need a pport if I'm flying from PHX sky harbor airport to Canada?

I'm thinking about taking a trip out to Canada with my cusion Trent and Kyle sometime in November. So were thinking well need pports and stuff. Were not to sure on the pports thats why i asked. Oh! and what are some good cost flights out that way as well? I looked it up and it costs about $560.00 US. I really wanna get to Canada 1 way or another and yeah... I just need some help! lol.
