What did Polonius and Claudius do to destroy the happiness of others in Hamlet?

The pursuit of self-fulfillment. In an effort of fulfill their own needs, both Claudius and Polonius destroy the happiness of others in Shakespeare's Hamlet. I wanted to know more in details or examples about Polonius and Claudius's destroyer of others happiness. Please someone help! Thanks! :)
