Dissertation topic for digital marketing, SEO oriented ?

Hi guys, I am studying MSc. Digital Marketing and I am going to choose my dissertation topic soon. The area I am interested most is Search Engine Optimization and I would like to choose some topic about it. What would be the best area to focus on ? SEO strategy of a real company ? Or yzing keywords ? Or something like, "Does SEO die in Web 3.0"? Please help me clear this out.
