Can birth control suddenly produce side effects after years of being on it?

I was on Yasmin for about 4 years without any problems or side effects and then I stopped it for 3 months. After that time I started it back up again and after about 2 months this time around I've started to have weird symptoms such as frequent urination episodes, dry mouth, and most recently I'm experiencing muscle weakness and tingling in arms and legs. I've had blood tests and everything comes back normal so I'm wondering if all of this ties in to Yasmin. Has anyone had similar experiences?
